MAD Vintage

Terms & Conditions

1. Who we are

MAD Vintage (eenmanszaak, KVK: 98178822, VAT: NL005313243B43), registered at De Marowijne 49, 1689 AR Zwaag, sells one-of-a-kind vintage clothing and accessories via this website.

2. The products

Every item is unique, pre-owned, and sold in the condition described and photographed on its product page. Because pieces are vintage, minor wear consistent with age may exist even where not explicitly described. Measurements are taken by hand and may differ slightly from the garment's original size label. Always check the listed measurements rather than the label size.

3. Orders and reservations

Adding a piece to your bag does not reserve it. As each piece is one of a kind, it remains available to other visitors until payment is completed. Once your payment is confirmed the piece is reserved for you and the purchase agreement is concluded. Your 14-day right of withdrawal is unaffected by this — see section 6.

4. Pricing and payment

All prices are shown in euros and are final consumer prices: the amount you see is the amount you pay, and no VAT is shown separately. Shipping costs are added at checkout and are always shown before you place your order. Payment is processed via Mollie (iDEAL, credit card, and other supported methods).

5. Shipping

We ship within the Netherlands and internationally. Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you pay. We aim to dispatch every order within 5 business days of purchase, and in any case we deliver within 30 days of the day you placed your order, unless we have agreed a different term with you. If we cannot meet that term, we will tell you and you may cancel the order and get your money back within 14 days. Once your order has been handed to the carrier, delivery time is outside of our control. Customs or import duties for shipments outside the Netherlands, if any, are the customer's responsibility.

6. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on every order, including vintage and one-of-a-kind items. See our right of withdrawal page for full details, including who pays for return shipping.

7. Conformity and legal guarantee

Everything we sell must be what you could reasonably expect of it. That statutory right cannot be excluded and we do not try to. What you may reasonably expect does depend on the piece: every item is pre-owned and vintage, sold in the condition described and photographed on its product page, so age-related wear that is described, visible in the photos, or normal for a garment of that age is part of what you are buying and is not a defect.

If a piece turns out to have a fault that was not described and that you could not reasonably have expected, let us know within a reasonable time of discovering it. We will then repair the item, replace it where that is possible (with unique pieces it often is not), or refund all or part of the price. You never pay for return shipping on a faulty item. This is on top of — not instead of — your right of withdrawal.

8. Reviews on this site

Reviews are only collected from verified buyers: after delivery we send a personal, one-time link by e-mail, and only that link can be used to leave a review, once per order. We do not buy, invent or edit reviews. Every review is checked before publication and is only refused if it is offensive, contains someone else's personal data, or is not about a purchase.

9. Complaints

If something is wrong, tell us first — e-mail info@madvintage.nl with your order number and a clear description, and add photos where they help. We confirm receipt within 3 business days and give you a substantive answer within 14 days. If we need longer, we will say so and tell you when you can expect an answer.

If we do not resolve it together, you can take the dispute to the competent Dutch court. (The European ODR platform closed on 20 July 2025, so there is no online dispute form to link to.)

10. Liability & governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory rights as a consumer, including the right of withdrawal and the legal guarantee of conformity; where a clause here would conflict with those rights, your statutory rights prevail.
